Mission Statement

IN A NATURAL SETTING:

  • ~ Encourage resilience, emotional control and positive attitudes to new challenges
  • ~ Introduce motor skills (balance, rhythm, coordination)
  • ~ Introduce responsibility and rules of etiquette for handling horses
  • ~ Develop core skills in communication through voice and body
  • ~ Nurture a positive attitude towards valuing participant efforts and respect for the horse
  • ~ How to set and achieve simple goals
  • ~ Learn to deal with moderate lack of control of outside or unforeseen influences and consequences
  • ~ Expand social skills by functioning in a group during the lesson and also outside of the stable
  • ~ Foster the building of confidence through self-challenges inherent in games
  • ~ Inspire the feeling of independence through succeeding with the horse
  • ~ Introduce independent decision making and fundamental mental training such as visualisation and relaxation
  • ~ Foster self-awareness and individual style
  • ~ Adapt tactics to achieve results
