Spirits in Bloom: A reflective horse-guided experience

What Seeds Are You Planting? Step into spring with a mindful, heart-centered experience with horses, meditation, and journaling.

Spring invites quiet honesty: What am I tending? What am I ready to plant?

Spirits in Bloom is a 3-hour immersive experience at Free Spirit Stables with Shawna Marie Yoga and horsewoman Hannah Francis. We’ll slow down, connect, and learn from horses as mirrors of presence, emotion, and intention.

This isn’t about riding or performance. It’s about awareness, curiosity, and relationship — with yourself, with others, and with the horses.

Through grounding meditation, journaling, and connection with the horses, we explore how energy, attention, and authenticity shape relationships.

There’s space for reflection, conversation, and community — or simply observing if that’s what you need. You’ll leave feeling more rooted, open, and clear about what you’re cultivating this season.

About Your Guides

Hannah Francis is the founder of Free Spirit Stables and a certified instructor of Carolyn Resnick’s Method of Liberty Horsemanship. Horses have been at the heart of her life since childhood, where she competed at a champion level before turning her path toward mindful connection. After leaving her corporate career during the pandemic, Hannah followed her passion full-time, studying liberty horsemanship for 5 years with Carolyn Resnick and Nancy Zintsmaster.

She is also a certified Yoga & Equine Yoga Instructor, blending her love of movement, mindfulness, and horses into unique experiences that invite participants to slow down, connect, and discover presence through partnership with these extraordinary animals. Today, she shares her free-spirited journey at Free Spirit Stables in Santa Cruz, offering classes and workshops that honor the wisdom of horses and the joy of authentic connection.

Shawna Marie Rodgers is a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher based in Santa Cruz, CA. With over 500 hours of training, including immersive study in India, she weaves yoga, meditation, and Ayurvedic wisdom into grounding, nature-rooted experiences. Her workshops often unfold in partnership with horses and the land, helping participants reconnect with themselves through presence, reflection, and healing community gatherings.
