Dancing with Horses

Sunday, June 14th

Step into a guided experience where partner dance meets liberty horsemanship. Explore connection, communication, and movement in a whole new way.

What You’ll Experience

  • Partner connection exercises with humans

  • Exploring nonverbal communication & body language

  • Translating those skills to working with horses at liberty

  • Guided interaction with horses at liberty

  • Improvisational movement & play

  • Integration + optional social dance

Along the way, you’ll explore:

  • How to be an inviting leader

  • Asking for space and honoring boundaries

  • Noticing when your partner says “no,” and what to do next

  • Letting go of agenda, perfection, and performance

  • What it feels like to move in connection

What Does Dancing with Horses Look Like?

  • An invitation to dance, with true freedom to choose

  • Moving side by side in connection

  • Mirroring movements as you turn, change pace, or stop

  • Sending the horse out to move freely, then inviting them back in

  • Pausing together for a powerful moment of stillness

Horses respond honestly and immediately. They don’t fake connection, which makes them incredible teachers.

The whole shebang!

Dancing with Horses was one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve ever had.
Hannah teaches you how to greet a horse respectfully, recognize signs that a horse is open to connecting, and use your own body language to move with the horse—all without reins. It’s not about riding; it’s about communicating.
If you’ve ever been curious about forming a real connection with a horse, this is a perfect introduction. It would also make an unforgettable gift for someone who loves animals and wants a truly unique experience—even if they’re not interested in horseback riding. Highly recommend.

Want to dance with your own horse?

During the Dancing with Horses workshop, you’ll learn how to move with horses who already know how to dance. After all, learning a new dance is much easier with a partner who already knows the steps!

If you dream of dancing with your horse, Hannah offers private sessions to tap into your horse’s instincts for movement. Horses naturally tend to move away from what is coming toward them and toward what is leaving them. These instincts allow horses to run seamlessly together in a herd. Hannah’s Liberty Horsemanship training transforms these instinctual tendencies into reliable tools for creating connected dances with your horse.
